Powerful Maca Smoothie

Maca is loaded with vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and protein. All these nutrients support bone density, and naturally elevate your energy. This is super helpful for athletes or those of us that are very active. Adding it into your smoothie for a post workout snack has not only been proven to help amp up your workout but also aid in recovery. Maca has also been studied for it’s effect on regulating hormones, and aiding in fertility. It’s also known for boosting libido! All around, it sounds like the kind of thing you would want in your life, right? It’s more expensive than some of your other “superfoods” and supplements, but you only need to use a very little bit at a time because it is quite potent. This is why it’s important to purchase from a trusted brand that provides quality products. FYI: I purchase mine through the company Thrive Market, and the brand is Earth Circle Organics. But now, let’s get onto my recipe for the Powerful Maca Smoothie!

Notes: Make sure to pick a high quality almond milk with no added sugars! Depending on the intensity of my workout I will use 2 cups of almond milk, or substitute 1 cup with water. If it’s not sweet enough for you, add a couple medjool dates which gives it a dash of delicious caramel flavor or even just a little stevia! Another tip, try not to use ice, as iced drinks are really terrible for digestion. Who knew?!

Full disclosure: I was given the Maca powder from Earth Circle Organics for free to review, but in no way did it affect my judgment on my recommendation. I actually had this in my cart at ThriveMarket.com when I was given this product!
